The 2017–2018 season is a busy one for Bradford City A.F.C. It’s the club’s 115th season in their history, and they are competing in League One, the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy.

The beginning of 2018 was not really a successful one for Bradford City as the English club recorded a single win so far – in the very first match of the year against Fleetwood Town. They managed a 2-1 victory after they battled back from a goal down, with goals scored by Alex Gilliead and Shay McCartan.

Since January until this point in time, they have played a total of ten matches, which ended in seven losses and two draws for the Yorkshire-based team. The players seem to be out of form and this lackluster performance positioned them on the tenth place in the table.

The latest match they played was against Plymouth Argyle on February 24th at Home Park. It was a tight encounter, but the Bantams didn’t manage to score and the game ended 1-0 for the hosts, thanks to the goal scored by Antoni Sarcevic just minutes before the break.

The poor results of the club during these two months of 2018 led to Stuart McCall being fired. Simon Grayson is now replacing him as the team’s coach, but no spectacular changes have been noticed in the two matches he has managed so far.

Nonetheless, the City’s return to action on March 10th presents the perfect opportunity for the team to get back on track and for Grayson to score his first win since being appointed coach a month ago.

This Saturday, the Bantams will host Milton Keynes Dons on their home ground, Valley Parade. The odds are in the Bantams’ favor because MK Dons seem to go through a rough patch lately. They are among the teams at the bottom of the League One table and haven’t scored any victory in their last ten games.

However, Bradford City shouldn’t get their hopes too high, considering MK Dons only lost those matches by a goal and their last two away matches ended in a draw.

Looking ahead, after Saturday’s match, Bradford City are set to host other two matches at Valley Parade, against opponents Wigan Athletic on March 14th and Portsmouth on April 17, and they will also encounter Blackburn Rovers and Shrewsbury Town away. These matches are really important for the Bantams as they really need to win in order not to miss the playoffs.
